Airdrie Station is located on a plateau, about 400 feet above sea level, about twelve miles to the south east of Glasgow in an area known as Monklands. The station is managed by First ScotRail and is served by trains on the North Clyde Line 17 km (11 miles) east of Glasgow Queen Street.
