Gogamukh Chariali is the junction point from which one has to take north by 16 km. to reach the Mega Hydroelectric Project at Gerukamukh on the river subansiri. The West-East road is the NH 52 coming from North Lakhimpur going to Dhemaji. Gogamukh is a cosmopolitan place inhabited by Assamese, Missing, Boro, Deuri, Nepali people. The leading

  • Gogamukg newar gaonn is a village 1 km southern part of gogamukh chariali.. Approx.100 families belongs to newar family leavs here.. Late Gobinda Raj Newar, Late Dhan Bh. Newar, Late Jay Bahadur Newar and Sri Krishna Bahadur Newar<my grand paa> etc.are the founder of these village. They started this village in 1962. Most of villagers were cultivetor. But new generation changed their livelyhood. Mr. Dambaru Dhar Newar <my papa> is the 1st matriculate, graduate in science, with B.ed. Hem Chandra Newar(moni) is 1st Msc(chemistry) in our village. My mom Mrs. Nama Devi Newar is only women employee till now. A Siva Mandir and a Newar kristi bikash kendra in there in our vilage. We observe Durga puja, swaraswati puja etc.we observe evry year. A govt.registered club named Shrestha Club is there in our village...
