This impressive park is constructed along the edge of the Barranca de Oblatos, also referred to as the Barranca de Huentitán. The Barranca (canyon) is approximately 1500 feet deep and was formed by the still flowing Rio Santiago. The park contains grassy areas for picnics, childrens toys, an open-air theater, bathroom facilities, and scenic lookout points for admiring the beauty of the canyon.
