Old stone kilns from the mid to late 1800s used in the manufacture of lime from limestone. Although I'm not sure of the extent of landholdings by the Ward Lime Works Company, the company itself was situated close to this area on an old Beers map and in fact there are several kilns located throughout the valleys.
