A mountain named after Frank King who ran a hotel there called "Kings Mountain Browhouse". The landscape is coastal scrub and redwood forest. There are many private residences scattered about along the ridges mostly. The Eastern side of the mountain is owned by the San Francisco Water District and is protected watershed. Skyline Blvd. runs along the main ridge. The King's Mountain Community Center/Volunteer Fire Dept is the community center. It is in unincorporated San Mateo County.
