National park Neusiedler See – Seewinkel is around Lake Neusiedl in Eastern province of Burgenland, Austria. It includes vast reed belt areas of southern Lake Neusiedl, meadows on its Eastern shore and shallow natron lakes ("Lacken"). It was founded and forms together with the 1991 opened national park on the Hungarian side (Fertö-Hanság Nemzeti Park) an early example of a cross-border national park. The park exceeds 300 km²was the first IUCN acknowledged national park of Austria.
