A quiet village in county Vas, in the Szombathely region. Its population is 179 (2001).

The remains of a Neolithic settlement was found outside the village. During the Hungarian arrival in the 8-9th century it was the place of the court of Bulcsú and his servants. The village was first recorded in 1238 as Druzmoth. The oldest mythical song sung by medieval wandering minstrels, the song of „Dozmati Regőlés” was recorded here.
Its Romanesque St. George's church (built in the 12th century, reconstructed in 1707 in Baroque style) in the cemetery is one of the most important medieval monuments in the county. A statue of Madonna of the 14th century and the altar-piece painted by István Dorfmeister are the most important works of art of the church.
In 1972 in the garret of a peasant-cottage the so-called "Dozmat Codex" was found. It is the only exemplare of a 14th century codex, Aegidius Romanus's "De regimine principum" in Hungary.
