Was built close to the site of the old Southern Pacific Train Station. If you follow a path from the building through the town square, and up the parking lot: this was the old S.P. right of way. Last train to run through town was in the late 1950's. (note, this was coming south, from Vasona Junction. The last train over to Santa Cruz was in 1940.
The architecture of the post office pays homage to the old depot.
