Eureka Tower is the tallest skyscraper in the Southern Hemisphere and the tallest residential building in the world when measured to the roof and its amount of liveable floors..

The tower provides 10 levels of preallocated car park space for its residentials: 9 above ground level and 1 underground level.

The Observation deck, named SkyDeck, opened on May 15, 2007.

Residents were able to move in to the building from mid-2005 (lower levels), then the middle levels late-2005, then upper levels in early 2006. The penthouses, floors 82-87 where whole floor apartments and the interior was custom-made for the buyer of the floor.

On October 11, 2006, the tower was officially opened by the then Victorian Premier Steve Bracks.

  • The eureka tower is the best building in the whole of melbourne and probably australia. The design of it is soo modern and would be such a kool place to live in, especcialy the observation deck during a storm would look amazing!
  • Yes I can tell you that the views are beautiful. The lowest resident level is 11 but still you get nice views... can easily see the street life around Southbank. Also since there is no (tall) buildings in front of eureka, the apartments facing the Yarra river have a great view of the CBD.
  • When i went back home to Australia for Christmas i visited Melbourne, and i really wanted to see Eureka. What an amazing building. Definatly one of the city's best.
