  • To anyone in the western world, still one of the most historically significant relics of the past. Try to visit in the evening, preferably on a weekday when there are fewer tourist hordes. The sight of the Parthenon glowing in the twilight sun is breathtaking. Sit there for a while and try to imagine all the history that surrounded this building. And try to visualize it as it must have looked when new. Even as a ruin, it seems more of the sky than the earth, the columns descending to the earth direct from the heavens, resting weightlessly on the sacred rock. Amazing.
  • Acropolis is one of the most magnificant places on earth. Everyone must go to visit the sacred hill, because it symbolizes the beginning of western world...
  • i love this place :-)
