The place holds memorial services for Jeompiljae Kim Jong-jik, a leading light of Salim (Neo-Confucian literati).

Jeompiljae Kim Jong-jik was victimized by then a party rivalry and was subjected to Bu-gwan-cham-si (Beheading a corpse) during Muo Sahwa (Purge of 1480) incident after he died due to Jo-uije-mun (Lament for the righteous emperor) which he innuendo King Sejo's usurpation party rivalry.

As religious masters of Salim Yongnam, he turned out many excellent pupils such as Kim Gwang-pil, Chong Yo-chang and Kim Il-son who dominated the period and the descendents of them are paying tribute of his learning and virtue even today.
