The Cheongdo Hyanggyo, also called Hwayang Hyanggyo, was first established in 1568 at Gopyeong-dong. It was moved to Hapcheon-dong in 1626, and finally rebuilt here in 1734. Eight buildings remain in the compound including Daeseongjeon, or the main shrine, two minor shrines, the gate to the shrine facilities. Deviating from the traditional style which has the shrine behind the lecture pass, Myeongnyundang and Daeseongjeon are built side-by-side here. Myeongnyundang is of a double-wing like bracket style and Daeseongjeon is of a simple bracket style without any decorative elements. Memorial tablets of 16 Confucian scholars including Seol Chong, An Yu, Yi Hwang, Yi Yul-gok, Choi Chi-won, and Yi Eon-jeok are enshrined here.
