As a child in the early 1960's, my family lived in my grandparents' summer cabin directly across the lake from Ky Fox's Resort. Once stepped on a nail in the sand on our beach and my dad put me in our rowboat and took me across the lake to where our doctor was renting a cabin. I believe they pulled out the nail and gave me a tetanus shot. Then Dad put me back in the boat and rowed home.
