Also referring to as Buk-myeon Hot Spring, after the name of the region, Mt. Mageum Hot Springs is located at the base of Mt. Mageum (200m above sea level), which is in 13km distance to the north of regional road No. 1045 from Euichang-dong of Changwon. Mt. Mageum Hot Springs, which contain slightly alkaline water of 55oC or more in temperature, takes approximately 20 minutes to arrive by car from Euichang-dong.

Records on Mt. Mageum Hot Springs are listed in ancient literatures of King Sejong's Geographical Book and Donggukyeojiseungnam, etc. From these materials, it is illustrated that hot springs were used from the old times. Having been temporarily closed in the later period of Joseon Dynasty, Mt. Mageum Hot Springs were rediscovered, thus developed by a Japanese person of Tokunaga. Sohn, Jin-Il from this area later undertook ownership of the hot springsConsisted of over 20 mineral substances of natrium, radium, manganese and ion sulfate, etc. Mt. Mageum Hot Springs are known to be effective in conditions of arthritis, women's diseases, neuralgia and divers' disease, etc., thus have been frequently visited by numerous people. In addition, Mt. Cheonma (370m), Mt. Mageum and Mt. Baekweol (400m) in surrounding areas provide outstanding scenery.

In particular, Mt. Baekweol is a noted mountain with a beautiful legend to enjoy mountain climbing and bathing in hot springs at the same time.
