Last Mountain lake

A long but narrow lake - 93 km in length but only 3 km wide. Formed c. 11,000 years ago from meltwaters of the continental ice sheet draining south into the Qu’Appelle glacial spillway. Many resort towns and two provincial parks straddle its shores.
