  • Lower Hollywood Reservoir and Mulholland Dam are owned by the City of Los Angeles' Department of Water & Power. Mulholland Dam is concrete gravity dam constructed in 1924 to a height of approximately 125 feet. The reservoir was taken out of service in September of 2001 to comply with requirements of the Surface Water Treatment Act. The dam continues to hold back water for aethetic and emergency reasons.
