  There are many proponents and opponents, approx 3000 objectors filed written notice, many of whom spoke and delivered evidence, and many more who would have, if the flawed notification process had worked as it is required to for such hearings. The process continues, with mediation ahead of the Environment Court Appeal about to take place (Feb 07) and awareness campaigns growing in the community. I ran a family fun day recently with live music, Olmecha Supreme and several local bands, http://www.music.gen.nz to raise money to pay the legal fees incurred by us standing up for our beliefs in protecting the environment from development.
