Dunbar Village Housing Projects (West Palm Beach)


Built in the late 1940s for West Palm Beach's low-income African-Americans,
Dunbar Village is one of the first housing projects in the state of Florida.
It was named for the African-American poet Paul Laurence Dunbar.

The complex is often called Dunbar and is known for its crime-ridden streets
and townhouses.
