Chifley Tower is a premium office skyscraper in the Sydney Central Business District. Designed in the postmodern style by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, it was constructed from 1988 to 1992 at a cost of $425,000,000. The building stands 216 m (709 ft) tall, with a spire extending its height to 241 m (791 ft), and has 44 floors and 4 underground floors. It has a total floor area of 90,000 sq m (968,000 sq ft) and is equipped with 26 lifts. There is also retail space at the first three floors of the building and a restaurant at the 41st floor. It has been the tallest building in Sydney since 1992.
The building is named after Ben Chifley, a former Prime Minister of Australia.
