Agios Theoklitos Forest (Athens - Piraeus metropolitan area)

The Agios Theoklitos Forest lies upon the northeastern hill of Mount Penteli at the adjacent municipalities of Vrilissia, Melissia, Nea Penteli and Penteli from where the great Gully of Polidroso runs and laves at Halandri. The forested area surrounds the Patima Hill near the Penteli Avenue all the way to the Krassas fields to the east. Today it constitutes part of the Vrilissia suburban forest, some parts of which are cut and restricted by individuals or associations, introducing themselves at court as owners of the land, despite the fact that the land is marked as forested area, due to the delay of the forestry mapping by the Ministry of Environment.
