some few miles away from the temple thirupullani, this place is said to have been called so as Lord Ram, started his journey to Srilanka to rescue Devi Sita from the demon king Ravana, by erecting and constructing a bridge upto Srilanka, which is now submerged in the sea and otherwise called as Adams Bridge.

JegaNathan Wrote : This Place is called "AAdhi Sethu" since Sri Ram Started the contruction of the bridge from here. One KM away from the sea shore a Wall like structure with approximately 10 to 20 m wide can be found. The Hanuman Temple is famous at this village and most of the vainavaits prefers this place instead of Rameshwaram. The sea will be rough in April and May, Very calm in December and January. In December and January in the early morning there will be no wave in the sea.
