  Dashehra Maidan is one of the last large open space in the heart of the town which is the congregating place for large crowd. Events like Dashehra, Fairs, Exibitions, Circus and Public Speeches etc. are organised or can be organised. Dashehra Maidan is surrounded by Post Office, Ochterlony Hall (CRPF Officers Mess), Municipal Town Hall (Auditorium, Badminton Hall and E-Library), Temple, Residential Schemes, Pheerozeshaw Petrol Pump, State Bank of Indore Branch, CPWD Dak Bungalow, Gyan Mandir (Public Library and Law College), Shahid Stambh (Martyr's Column), Church and Dr Rajendra Prasad Football Stadium with it's shops.
