The largest grounds in the city of Ujjain, Dashehra Maidan are known after the annual Dashehra festivities held here.

Besides being a major landmark of the city, these grounds host the annual republic day, independence day parade among sports tournaments and fire-cracker market for deepavali.

The residential area to the West of this ground is named after it, "Dashehra Maidan" (Maidan is Hindi for Field).
