Baljek Airport is situated in Jengjal, which is a village on the Tura-Guwahati highway. The stretch visible is Baljek Airport. Recently inaugurated by President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil in Oct,2008. It promises air connectivity much nearer than Guwahati and there are plans to make it a cargo hub for the region.
