Dancing Bunnies (Dublin, Ohio)

USA / Ohio / Dublin / Dublin, Ohio
art -(to be removed, see EN descr.), interesting place

These are large concrete dancing bunnies that are at the summit of a small mound in Ballantrae Park. The work is titled "Dancing Hares," and was created by Sophie Ryder in 2007.

If you get close, you will realize that they are made from recycled materials. Add this to your Dublin tour after catching the cement corn field just down the street.

  • The rabbits are about 15 feet tall, and it's interesting to see all the different recycled objects that were used. The mound itself reminds me of some of the Adena Indian mounds in the region, but that's just interesting to us dorks. More importantly, the kids seem to love it.
