This ACME opened May 22, 2015, replacing a smaller store (June 1958 to fall 2014, the store was very small even after an expansion into an adjacent liquor store space at some point in the past) as well as the Beach Stadium 5, which closed in 2012 and demolished soon after [cinematreasures.org/theaters/39314]. The modern ACME store is slightly elevated off the ground to prevent storm surge in the future, as the old store had suffered damage under Superstorm Sandy. It was the first ACME to open under control of Albertsons LLC.
