There are 11 gates into Kruger, allowing visitors some flexibility in their itineraries. You should plan to arrive at the gates with enough time to reach your overnight camp, as arriving after the camp gates close will incur a stiff penalty.

The "Crocodile Bridge Gate" provides entrance to the eastern region of the southern area of the Kruger National Park. Situated at Crocodile Bridge Camp it is 475km from Johannesburg, Gauteng. Follow the N4 toll road east from Gauteng through Witbank, Belfast and Nelspruit towards Komatipoort. From the N4 toll road turn off left towards Komatipoort town and continue through the town towards the Crocodile Bridge Gate.

(See "Malelane Gate" for access to the western region of the southern area of the park.)

A popular option for day visitors.
