Lionsrock Lodge & Big Cat Sanctuary is situated 18km outside Bethlehem, Eastern Free State, the sanctuary takes care of big cats rescued from Eastern European countries like Romania, Bulgaria etc.

The park encompasses a total area of 1,250 hectares. The enclosures for the big cats and other carnivores take an area of 60 ha. In the rest of the park, other typical South African species live freely (e.g. zebras, wildebeests and other antelopes, ostriches etc.).

Lionsrock is open for the public and is a combination of animal welfare and tourism destination, offering a wide range of activities for its guests: photo drives, bird watching and hiking trails as well as trips to the nearby Golden Gate National Park, Clarens or Lesotho. Lionsrock Lodge with a restaurant and bar is situated inside the area and offers accommodation for guests ranging from self-catering chalets to double rooms.
