Dhanushkodi Kodandaramaswamy (Rama-Vibhishan) Temple (Rameswaram/Pamban Dweep)

This is the place where Vibhishanan (Ravana's Brother) was crowned as king of Srilanka after the war by Lakshman at the behest of Sri Rama. In the sanctum, apart from the usual Kothanda Rama, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuma, as a special significance to this place, Vibhishana is also present by the side.

  • I was fortunate to visit this place in April 2006. A beautiful temple was being renovated then.
