The KMPC transmitters were moved here in 1942, where it transmitted 10Kw full-time. The building was later expanded in 1946 to accomodate a new 50Kw transmitter when the station was granted permission to transmit at that output power. This fact is still proudly displayed on the building's side. The KMPC call-sign is now used by Radio Korea. KMPC derives its call-sign from a former 1930s-era owner, the McMillan Petroleum Company.
