Full range state of art climatic wind tunnel facility for environmental vehicle drive simulation testing between -40°C and +55°C air temperature, humidity control, 4-wheel dyno and solar simulation. The wind tunnel allows road-like drive simulation up to 225 km/h. The facility is supported by a large climatic test chamber for static environmental vehicle testing.
The facility is mainly used for automotive development and research for thermal management subjects like climate control systems and engine cooling. Other interesting fields are development and product validation of all kind of large systems and products, e.g. 20" ISO container, under extreme hot, cold or humid environmental conditions.
The facility was opened in 2005 after 1.5 years of construction
