Arleta is a district in the San Fernando Valley region of the City of Los Angeles, California. It was considered part of Pacoima until the late 1960s, when the areas of Pacoima west of the Golden State Freeway (I-5) "seceded" and formed a new community area.
It is bordered by the Los Angeles districts of Mission Hills and North Hills on the west, Sun Valley on the east, Pacoima on the southeast, Panorama City on the south, and the City of San Fernando on the north.
