San Nicolás is one of the 48 neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires city, in Argentina, in which most of the main banks and government institutions are located, as well as many offices. It's seldom referred to as San Nicolás, but usually as El Centro ("Centre" or "Downtown"), and the east section of the 9 de Julio Avenue is called Microcentro ("Micro-centre")
