Flores is a traditional neighborhood, currently middle-class, locates in the geographic center of the City of Buenos Aires. Up until 1888, it was a rural part of the province of Buenos Aires, called San Jose de Flores. In 1888 it was integrated into the city which was designated the Federal Capital of the country.
