The oldest hotel in the Lake Okeechobee area. It was originally built in 1926 by the U.S. Sugar Corporation, but destroyed by a fire and rebuilt in classical revival style in 1938. It is also famous for its Hoover Suite, when former President Herbert Hoover stayed at the Inn in 1961. The Clewiston Inn was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
