USS Ingersoll was a Fletcher Class Destroyer in service with the US Navy from 1943 to 1946, and again from 1951 to 1970. She was a decorated WWII, Korean & Vietnam War Veteran, eventually earning the Bronze Star & 3 Battle Stars for her service.
Following her decommissioning, she was held in reserve at San Diego until May 19th, 1974 when she was sunk as a target at this location.
