Once a man-made reservoir, turned into recreational facility. The town of Southington bought thw land from Plainville in 1999; 256 acres total, 53 acre lake. Great fishing, kayaking, hiking all around it. Farms used to occupy all of the land south of Crescent Lake to the Shuttle Meadow Reservoir below.
