Malvinas, also known as Alvaro Gaudencio district is placed to the west part of the city (Campina Grande). Nowadays, its population is over than 36 thousands people and is the 3rd most habited in the city. It was founded in 1984 and is named so because its houses were invaded by some poor habitants, at the same time there was a kind of 'war' at Malvinas Island.
