L'Enfant (The Child) is a life-size bronze of a mother holding a child. Sculpted by Roger Bloche in 1899, it won 2nd prize at a Paris art show. How it ended up in Carrick is a mystery. It once sat at the entrance of Phillips Park, and was moved to this intersection in the 1960s.
