On January 14, 2013 it was announced that Cleveland-based FirstEnergy Corporation had purchased the naming rights to the stadium. On January 15, 2013 it was officially re-named The FirstEnergy Stadium: Home of the Cleveland Browns. The naming contract would end on April 13, 2023 reverting it back to the original name. On September 3, 2024 the stadium would be renamed once again in a new agreement with Columbus-based Huntington Bank.
