This is the correct Sakol Island facing Bgy. Taluksangay of mainland Zamboanga City. The Island is composed of 4 barangays Landang Gua, Sakol, and two more. A variety of Kappaphycus seaweed known as "Sakol" was seemingly discovered in this island and is now the most common seaweed variety cultured in Zamboanga City
