Train station connects with Romania and with Novo Milosevo (to Subotica or Pančevo). There are tracks to North (to Hungary), but they are not in use.

First train has arrived on 15th of November 1857.

Since year 1858 workers have used Morse code to regulate railroad traffic.

This railroad station has important role in 19th century: East express line (1861) has connected Wienna with Bazjas, Oriental express line (1878) has connected Wienna - Budapest - Kikinda - Bucuresti, Orient express (1883) has connected Boulogne - Paris - Wienna - Kikinda - Bucuresti, since 1895 Ostende express has connected London - Ostende - Brussel - Wienna - Kikinda - Constanca - Istanbul.
