CTV Regina signed on in 1954. It was originally owned by the Sifton family's Armadale Co., which also owned the Regina Leader-Post and CKCK Radio. Originally a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation affiliate, it switched to the private CTV network in 1969, when CHAB/CHRE in Moose Jaw was purchased by the CBC. CKCK is one of very few TV stations where station offices, studios and transmitting facility are located at one site. CKCK-TV broadcast their analog signal from here from 1954 until the digital television switchover in 2011 and have since broadcast a digital signal on channel 8.
