The Normal School “Vasile Lupu” Iasi from ROMANIA offers a great environment very similar to English colleges through its location as well as the building. The students can find in one perimeter not only the school but also the hostel, the refectory, the park, the chapel. Teacher of History, Adrian Timofti. Looking back, to the first years of Normal School “Vasile Lupu” we can’t help admiring those remarkable personalities who dedicated their lives to this institution. Although emblematic for the evolution of the Romanian educational system as a whole, the development of the Normal School met, however, several hindrances which were surpassed mainly due to the abnegation and perseverance of some visionary people, teachers and principals of the school. They are considered models; for knowing how to exceed the economical difficulties, the political whims and for having ideals which they have pursued despite all encumbrances. A great deal of what we are today we owe it to them too.
