Julianabrug

The Julianabrug (Juliana bridge) is a bridge spanning the river Zaan, which connects the town of Zaandijk on the western shore with the city of Zaandam on the eastern shore. Both places are part of the municipality of Zaanstad in the Dutch province of North Holland. The satellite image shows the old bridge, but it has since been replaced by a new one. the renewed Julianabrug has been awarded the Betonprijs 2009 (Concrete Prize 2009) in the category Bridges and Viaducts.
