New Hope Cemetery. Pre-dates Civil War. Portions of the line of General AP Stewart's division (CS) ran through this point during Battle of New Hope Church, May 25, 1864, generally facing westwards. In some cases headstones were integrated into the breastworks dug by Stewart's troops.
