In continuation to my earlier comments I shall like to add that I knew Dr.Rattan Mani Kala posted at Ayurvedic Hospital Khirsu while I was a student there 1951-54,my primary classes teacher Pt. Dharma Nand ji hailed from Sumari. There might be a good number in other desciplines like Engineers, Scientist etc. Sumari village deserves to be designated as "Heritage Village" of Garhwal Uttarakhand India.

  • m also one of the blessed child of village sumari. although I don't have remarkable memories of my village as I was brought up in Delhi, nevertheless I remember nao from where we used to fetch water. I also luv patgan. my father late shri Kali Prasad Kala has done a lot work for the village after his retirement from air force.

  • I am Madan Mohan Kotnala of very nearby village: Manjhilu, which is originated from Sumari. No doubt, as expressed by Vandana, the village has ancient history of the village created by God itself. The village has very educated and cultured people. So far as I hear, the village has a middle school started since 1900 B.C. I have studied in Sumari School upto 8th level. Had I concentrate fully, I would have been a great personality but this was not to be.
