Canyon Kleisouras or commonly Kleisoyra Aitoloakarnania is a geological formation in the county Etoloakarnania.
In prehistoric times, the mountains and Arakynthos Panaitoliko restricted waters of the river Achelous to reach the sea and thus formed a large lake. The water then passes through the gorge musty and poured into the lagoon Etoliko. Over the centuries following geological changes in the region, the river changed course so gorge Kleisouras be a dry riverbed and the great lake be limited in extent, forming the existing lakes Trichonis of Ozero of Amvrakia and of Lysimachia.
