"Kaitheri Sree Neelakarikali Kshethram", popularly known as Kaithery Ambalam ----- is situated at approx. 3kms. to the North of Kuthuparamba, in Kannur district of Kerala, is showering prosperity to hundreds of devotees far & near .

Legend has it that, the Kshethram has its origins more or less 400 yrs. back. It lay almost un-known and un-attended for such long periods of time in history.( or rather ‘His'-story ! )

An "Ashtamangalya Prashnam" was conducted in 1994 and the Kshethram was accordingly renovated on " 1171-aandu, Meenam masam, Makam naalu, 1 pm " by Brahmasree Vilangara Narayanan Bhattathirippad .
The " ooranma" of this Kshethram is vested in the Karangottu Kaithery Tharavadu.
And now.. devotees are literally flowing to the Kshethram in hundreds and it has bestowed upon the little village Kaithery, a significant name & place of its own, both geographically and on a more serious note, in the hearts of countless devotees far and wide.
