On this mill rampart was already in 1519 a mill listed as 'Bonnesiere'.
In 1903 the mill blew over.
The old mill rampart, bought by the city in 1906 was a few years exposed to excavation, so the dice disappeared.
In 1911, with financial support from the contractor Emmanuel Cloedt a three-attic postmill was transferred from 'Olsene'.
The mill in Bruges was never brought into action.
In 1943 it became protected architectural heritage (ID: 83160).
